AED Experts By Experience create practical guides for providers, caregivers, patients

The Experts by Experience committee of the Academy for Eating Disorders is in the process of creating 3 different sets of 1-page practical guides – one directed at patients, one directed at carers, and one directed at clinicians. They are requesting the input of people affected by eating disorders and their families in developing content for these guides.

The 9 Truths About Eating Disorders, developed by the Academy for Eating Disorders and numerous advocacy groups, will be used as a foundation for these practical guides. Each truth will be expanded on to suit the population that it is directed toward.

The objective of this endeavor is to provide utility focused guides that will offer practical and clinical application to each truth, with the ultimate goal of better understanding eating disorders, improving treatment, and reducing the suffering of people affected by eating disorders and their families.

The Experts by Experience Committee has created a survey, and they are looking for your input to provide wide and varied perspectives for the guides. Every contribution counts! Click through to add your voice.
