Countdown to World Eating Disorders Day 2018

World Eating Disorders Action Day (#WeDoAct) is a grassroots movement designed for and by people affected by an eating disorder, their families, and the medical and health professionals who support them. Uniting activists across the globe, the aim is to expand global awareness of eating disorders as genetically linked, treatable illnesses that can affect anyone. The Third Annual #WorldEatingDisordersDay will take place on June 2, 2018; please stay tuned for details!

Visit the Get Involved page to find out how you can join us in making a difference — and remember to sign the pledge!

Members of the eating disorder community, including affected individuals and their families, professionals, researchers, and policy makers, have united virtually to increase access to accurate information, eradicate myths and collectively advocate for resources and policy change. The first World Eating Disorders Action Day took place on June 2, 2016, and generated information virtually around the globe. The second annual #WorldEatingDisordersDay took place on June 2, 2017, with many countries carrying out local “live” activities. Learn more by visiting our About page!

2017 Events

The 2017 #WeDoActTogether theme and focus was on partnerships that move us forward as affected people, carers, clinicians, and researchers. Meaningful relationships and connections are vital to recovery. Last year, we aimed to recognize and drive these important engagements and needed your help to do it.

Tell us about your 2017 event here, or check out the events that have already taken place at 2017 Events!
